Planning to renew your Indian passport, or apply for your child's first one? Budget a little more than before. Since 1 July 2026, the High Commission of India in Nicosia has been charging new fees for passports and related services, following a fee revision by the Government of India.

The change applies to every Indian national in the Republic of Cyprus who uses the High Commission's passport services, as well as other applicants.

The main fees at a glance

These are the amounts in euros listed on the High Commission's website. Each one already includes €2 for the Indian Community Welfare Fund (ICWF).

  • Adult passport, 36 pages, 10 years: €109 (also applies to teenagers aged 15–18)
  • Adult passport, 60 pages, 10 years: €152
  • Minor (under 18), 36 pages: €79
  • Fresh passport for a child up to 8 years old: €72, after a 10% discount
  • Replacing a lost, damaged or stolen passport: €216 (36 pages) or €259 (60 pages); €186 for a minor
  • Police Clearance Certificate and similar certificates: €37
  • Emergency Certificate: €15

Always confirm the current figure on the official fee page before you apply, as fees can change again.

What this means for you

  • Check your passport's expiry date now. Many countries and airlines want at least six months' validity, so renew early rather than in a rush before a trip home.
  • Choosing 60 pages costs €43 more, but it's worth it if you travel often and fill pages quickly.
  • Have a child under 8? The discounted fee makes this a good time to sort out their passport.
  • Keep a photocopy or scan of your passport somewhere safe. If it's lost, a replacement costs about twice as much as a normal renewal.
