About Indians in Cyprus

Indians in Cyprus is a home on the internet for the Indian community on the island: students, professionals, families, business owners and everyone who has made Cyprus their second home. We bring together the news, practical guides and events that matter to us, in one place and in plain language.
What you'll find here
- News that affects us: from India–Cyprus relations and consular updates to community celebrations, business, culture and wellbeing.
- Practical guides: Living in Cyprus: Guides covers residence permits, bank accounts, GESY, schools, tax and more, checked against official sources and reviewed every month.
- What's On: festivals, screenings, cultural shows and community events across Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca and Paphos.
- Reasons to feel proud: Chak de India! collects India's proudest moments, alongside our daily Thought for the Day and Daily Dimaag quiz.
Who we are
Indians in Cyprus was founded by Dipak Kumar and is supported by the Help2Live Foundation, a charity he founded and funds, which has worked with people across Cyprus for fifteen years. Day to day, the site is run by the IIC Team. You can read Dipak's welcome message and Help2Live's story in Welcome Home.
How we work
- We check facts against official and reputable sources, and we link to them at the end of every article so you can read more.
- We write in our own words. When we quote someone, we keep it short and say who said it.
- We use our own graphics, photos we have permission to use, or official posters with a credit. We don't use AI-generated images of real people.
- Our guides are general information, not legal, financial or immigration advice. Rules change, so always confirm with the official authority before you act.
- When we get something wrong, we correct it. If you spot a mistake, tell us and include the link to the article.
Independent and transparent
Indians in Cyprus is an independent community platform. It is not the official website of the High Commission of India in Cyprus, the Government of India or the Government of the Republic of Cyprus. We report their announcements, but we don't speak for them, and they don't decide what we publish.
The site is funded by the Help2Live Foundation. When we write about Help2Live or its founder, we say so clearly. Any sponsored content or paid partnership will always be labelled.
Be part of it
This platform belongs to the whole community. Organising an event, celebrating a milestone, opening a business or simply have a story to tell? Send it to us or write to contact@indiansincyprus.com. We'd love to hear from you.
