More than 120 guests gathered at the Parklane Resort & Spa in Limassol on 19th October 2025 to celebrate Diwali together, marking, as organisers put it, the victory of light over darkness and harmony over discord.

The evening centred on a staged retelling of the Ramayana, brought to life through artwork and visuals themed around righteousness, devotion and truth. Performers spanning children, adults and elders took turns on stage with music and dance, alongside a circus act, a bubble show, quiz competitions and a Best Dress Contest celebrating traditional attire.

The night closed with a choreographed fireworks display set to Indian spiritual and Bollywood music, the colour and sound reflecting off the sea.

India's High Commissioner to Cyprus, Manish, was joined by Amdocs Cyprus head Yiannis Tinis and Help2Live founder Deepak Kumar, who spoke about community and cultural exchange, invoking the idea of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — the world as one family.

In keeping with this year's "Light for the Planet, Light for Humanity" theme, the event ran on eco-friendly décor and minimal plastic, tying the festival's traditions of simplicity and gratitude to present-day sustainability.

The celebration was organised by the Help2Live Foundation Cyprus together with the Indian Community and Friends of India in Cyprus.
